Dale Earnhardt Jr drove this Amp Energy paint scheme in several races during the 2011 season, including the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway on Sunday February 20, 2011. Jr started the race on the pole, and led 9 laps. However, he finished 24th as he was involved in a crash on the backstretch with 5 laps remaining. Trevor Bayne led those final 5 laps to put his #21 Motorcraft car into Victory Lane in a memorable victory for the Wood Brothers.
