This diecast commemorates Dale Earnhardt Jr's win in the Pontiac Excitement 400 at Richmond International Raceway on Saturday May 6, 2000. Earnhardt Jr started the race in 5th position, and passed his dad, Dale Earnhardt Sr, on lap 369 to take over the lead with 31 laps remaining. Earnhard Jr led all 31 of those laps to earn the victory. Terry Labonte finished 2nd in his Kellogg's ride for Hendrick Motorsports.
