Prototype
You are looking at a Dale Earnhardt Jr. car that was NEVER APPROVED FOR PRODUCTION. Only 3 CWB prototypes exist. This is one of them!
This 1999 Dale Jr. standard ARC CWB Prototype is guaranteed to be authentic: It was sent to Action Performance in Phoenix in December of 2002 for an authenticity inspection. The "goracing.com" post-it that you see on the styrofoam box is from Action and shows that this prototype was given the "OK" to confirm its authenticity (the OK text was written upside-down by Action). I also have the corresponding letter from the Action Performance Director of Security.
RCCA prototype banks are identified by a "0000" in the rear window. However, this car has nothing in the rear window. Therefore, it is obvious that this is not a RCCA Club Car Bank. Well, could it be just a standard ARC CWB? No. The only standard ARC bank that Action made in 1999 with the regular Bud paint scheme has BLACK windows. What about the SelectNet bank? It has clear windows. Yes, it does. But, as you know, the SelectNet banks all come with GRAY chassis. As you can see in the photo below, this CWB has a black chassis. Again, this car has been inspected and confirmed by Action Performance as to its authenticity.
This is the highly-desireable black roofed car that Junior drove in his first Winston Cup season in 1999.
The styrofoam container is original as well.
