This diecast is from the Hooters 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Sunday November 15, 1992. Petty started the race in 39th position, but got caught up in a multi-car accident on lap 96, and finished 35th. Bill Elliott led 102 laps, including the final 13 laps of the race to earn the victory in his Budweiser Ford for Junior Johnson Racing. However, Alan Kulwicki finished the race in 2nd place, which gave Kulwicki the 1992 Drivers Championship by a mere 10 points over Elliott.
