This diecast reflects the #24 DuPont Chevy which Jeff Gordon drove in his first NASCAR Cup Series start which he made for Hendrick Motorsports in the Hooters 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Sunday November 15, 1992. Gordon started the race in 21st position and was involved in a crash and completed only 164 laps, finishing 31st. At least he didn't find himslef in the conversation with Hut Stricklin and Brett Bodine who crashed in turn #1 of the first lap, and retired from the race without completing a single lap.
